Housing in Japan is more different than in the United States. It is different because in Japan there is only 170 square feet per person and in the United States 740 square feet per person. In the past 50 years many Japanese moved to the big city. They used to live in one room in the farms. in Japan there is a small amount of land to build houses. The sizes of the houses are smaller than a house in the U.S. Most families in Japan live in apartments that have only one room. In the United States people have way to many land for just a small family. In Japan the refrigerator microwave stoves etc are smaller than the average size in the U.S.
